OPSC Prelims 2024 Exam Date: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced the exam date for the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Preliminary Examination 2024. The exam is scheduled to be held on October 27, 2024 (Sunday).
The official notice from the Commission states, “It is for information of all concerned that, the Commission has decided to conduct the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination-2023, pursuant to Advt.No. 20 of 2023-24 tentatively on 27.10.2024 (Sunday). The detailed programme of the said examination shall be notified later.”
The OCS Prelims is the first stage of the selection process for various Odisha Civil Services posts. Candidates who qualify in the Prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the Mains exam.
OPSC Prelims: Exam Pattern
The OCS Prelims exam consists of two papers – General Studies I and General Studies II. Each paper is of 200 marks and has a duration of 2 hours.
OPSC Prelims: Marking Scheme
There is negative marking in the OCS Prelims exam. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
Selection Process
The final selection for the Odisha Civil Services is based on the performance in the Prelims, Mains, and Interview. Candidates who qualify in the Prelims exam will have to appear for the Mains exam, which consists of multiple papers.
