DU Round 1 seat allocation result: The University of Delhi (DU) has declared the first round of seat allocations for Undergraduate courses (UG) in numerous colleges today, on August 16, 2024, for the academic session 2024-25.
Candidates who have been selected in round 1 can now log in to their admission dashboards and accept the allocation by August 18, 04:59 PM.Additionally, candidates must also ensure paying application fees by August 21, 04:59 PM. Aspirants must note that those who have made the payment will be allowed to opt for an upgrade in the subsequent rounds of seat allocation process.
This year, DU will offer admissions to around 71,600 seats across 69 colleges, departments, and centres (excluding supernumerary seats). Undergraduate admissions will be conducted for 1,559 programmes and college combinations.
According to data from Delhi University, 2,45,287 candidates registered for the first phase of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) UG. Out of these, 1,85,543 applicants finalized phase two by submitting their preferred programme and college combinations. In total, DU received 1,72,18,187 preferences.
Additionally, one new feature has been added to the DU’s portal through which every applicant will be able to check the details of the cutoffs and ranks that decide the allocation to a seat according to the category and quota of the candidates.
The University will show common rank, cut-off rank, program-specific CUET score, and cut-off score for all the programs for which the candidates have applied.
The official notification mentioned that the allocation of the seats would be based on the Unique Common Rank, so the candidates must note that meeting the cut-off does not guarantee a seat. The ranks of candidates may differ even after having similar scores. The common rank will be determined by the tie-breaking rules.
For performance-based programmes, the ranks will not be generated. The tie-breaking rules have also been revised, as the National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared raw scores instead of normalised scores.
