HSSC Police Constable Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Details
The candidate should have completed 10+2 from a recognised education board or institution. Additionally, they must have passed Matric with Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject. No additional weightage will be awarded for higher qualifications.
According to the notice, the age limit applicable for candidates is between 18 to 25 years as of the first day of the month in which the recruitment applications are invited for the Constable position i.e 01-09-2024. However, There are some exceptions to this rule as per reservation rules, candidates must refer to the official notification for further details on the eligibility criteria.
HSSC Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
According to the notice, the Haryana Staff Selection Commission will invite a suitable number of candidates for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) based on their performance in the Common Eligibility Test (CET), followed by the Physical Screening Test (PST), both of which are purely qualifying. The Commission might conduct these tests in multiple batches, as needed, to shortlist candidates at a ratio of four times the number of advertised posts in each category for the Knowledge Test.
All candidates will be required to take a knowledge test that holds a weightage of 94.5%, consisting of objective-type, multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying equal marks.
As per the official notification candidates possessing an NCC certificate at levels A, B, or C will be awarded 01, 02, and 03 marks respectively (for Constable posts).
HSSC Recruitment 2024: Knowledge Test Syllabus
The recruitment test will feature questions on General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, General Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, Numerical Ability, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and other relevant fields or trades.
At least 10% of the questions will cover basic computer knowledge and a minimum of 20% will focus on basic knowledge of Haryana. The level of questions will align with the expectations of an individual who has completed the 10+2 examination for the position of Constable.
HSSC Recruitment 2024: Exam Pattern
All questions in the exam will be mandatory. The question paper will be bilingual, available in both English and Hindi. An offline (OMR-based) written examination for the Knowledge Test will be conducted for the recruitment of Constables. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
The paper will consist of 100 questions, each carrying a weightage of 0.945 marks. If a candidate does not select any of the five options for a question, 0.945 marks will be deducted for each unattempted question.
The notice reads, “Extra five minutes shall be given to mark fifth option, if candidate does not know the answer. Total time allowed for the paper will be (100+5) =105 minutes including the five minutes.”
