List of universities that do not require CUET scores for admission | IIT EXPERT |

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a test for admission into undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses at the central universities. This test is administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA), to oversee entrance exams for higher education institutions. The organisation was created to implement the ‘One India, one exam’ principle across various subjects. It offers a unified platform that provides equal opportunities to candidates nationwide, especially those from rural and remote areas, and establishes connections with universities. Through CUET, candidates can address a broad array of subjects and apply to multiple Central Universities with just one exam. However, some universities have been granted permission to take in students without CUET scores, as they lack resources to implement CUET-based admissions. If you are worried about your low scores in the CUET exams, then these Universities can be your options. They conduct their independent entrance exams to admit students.
Institutions such as Nagaland University, Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU), Sikkim University, and North Eastern Hill University are among those that do not require CUET for their admission processes.
