The Ministry of Education declared the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings 2024 on August 12, marking the ninth edition of the report. Developed by the Ministry, the NIRF ranking report is used to evaluate and rank higher education institutions across India. The rankings are determined based on five key criteria: Teaching, Learning, and Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practices (RPC), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI), and Perception (PER).

In the NIRF 2024, Miranda House has earned the second rank in the colleges category, preceded by The Hindu college and followed by St.Stephen’s college.Interestingly, the Miranda House has been claiming the first position in a row since 2017.
