SSC GD Constable Vacancy 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has unveiled the details for the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2025, marking a significant opportunity for job seekers across India. With a total of 39,481 vacancies across various forces, this recruitment drive aims to fill posts for Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).The comprehensive notice issued by SSC on September 6 outlines the state-wise and force-wise vacancies, providing clarity for applicants.
Vacancies
BSF (Border Security Force): 13,306 male and 2,348 female vacancies, totaling 15,654.
CISF (Central Industrial Security Force): 6,430 male and 715 female, totaling 7,145.
CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force): 11,299 male and 242 female, totaling 11,541.
SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal): 819 male vacancies.
ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police): 2,564 male and 453 female, totaling 3,017.
Assam Rifles: 1,148 male and 100 female, totaling 1,248.
SSF (Special Security Force): 35 male vacancies.
NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau): 11 male and 11 female, totaling 22.
The total number of vacancies is distributed as 35,612 for males and 3,869 for females.

Application Timeline and Process
Candidates interested in applying for these positions must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria: being 10th pass and aged between 18 to 23 years. The online application process begins immediately and will close at 11 PM on October 14. Applicants will need to pay the online application fee by 11 PM on October 15. A correction window for online application forms will be available from November 5 to November 7, 11 PM.

Examination and Selection Process
The recruitment will be conducted in multiple phases. Initially, candidates will undergo a Computer Based Examination (CBE). Successful candidates from the CBE will proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PST). Those who clear PET and PST will then face a medical and document verification process. The final merit list will be compiled based on the marks obtained in the written examination, with PET and PST serving only as qualifying rounds.
Increased Vacancies and Expanded Language Options in SSC GD Constable Recruitment
In the previous SSC GD Constable recruitment cycle, a staggering 47,45,501 candidates applied nationwide, reflecting the high level of interest in these positions. Initially, the number of available posts was 26,146, but this figure was later revised upward to 46,617 to accommodate more candidates. Additionally, acknowledging the diverse linguistic backgrounds of applicants, SSC has expanded the examination’s language options. From 2024 onwards, the first phase of the examination is now conducted in 13 languages, beyond just Hindi and English, to better serve non-Hindi and non-English speaking candidates and ensure a more inclusive selection process.
