Tamil Language Literary Aptitude Test 2024: The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, has announced that the application process for the Tamil Language Literary Aptitude Test will commence today, September 5. Interested candidates can obtain the application form from the official website, dge.tn.gov.in, and must submit it by the deadline of September 19.
The exam is scheduled for October 19 this year. The Tamil Nadu government will use this test to identify 1,500 students from schools across the country, who will each receive a stipend of ₹1,500 for a duration of two years. Half of the selected students will come from government schools, with the remaining selected from a combination of government-aided and private institutions, as stated by the DGE in a press release.
The test will be based on the Class 10 curriculum prescribed by the Tamil Nadu government. Students in Class 11 from recognized schools, including those affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) within Tamil Nadu, are eligible to apply.

How to apply for Tamil Language Literary Aptitude Test 2024

To apply, candidates must download the application form from dge.tn.gov.in and submit it, along with an examination fee of ₹50, to their school’s headmaster or principal. The final date for submission of applications is September 19, 2024. Here’s the link to download the forms.
The Tamil Language Literary Aptitude Test 2024 aims to select 1,500 students for a stipend, divided equally between those from government and private schools, in line with the DGE’s recent announcement.
